Where NULIFE Began

          Welcome to our family owned herbal shop, currently selling 100% Wildcrafted Gold Sea Moss gel from Saint Lucia. We are a plant based family of seven. Originally we were introduced to the holistic world by my late grandmother, Shirley "Granny" Straughter. When I was younger my Granny owned and operated a holistic herb store called NULIFE, in the heart of Dorchester, Massachusetts. It was an area that needed some TLC, to say the least. My grandmother was passionate about helping her community find a way to fight disease. Needless to say, were taught the concept "Eat to Live" at an early age. We grew up under great leaders such as my grandfather Minister Don Straughter, and Minister Louis Farrakhan. We learned a lot about structure through them at our family's mosque. 

          I struggled with weight gain as I made my way through teenage years. I'd gone pretty far astray and started to develop what they called "exercise induced asthma". All I could remember was her telling us that we need to eat right to live well. It wasn't until my youngest child fell ill that I understood just how much changing my diet had impacted us all. Suddenly, she couldn't break down food. She was just under a year old when it began. Everything she ate came out whole and the doctors were baffled. Finally, they said they had a diagnosis for her. They diagnosed her as "a failure to thrive". Naturally we weren't willing to accept that she was destined to leave any earlier than God intended. I began doing research to learn more about my grandmother's work and begun a process of food elimination trials. Eventually, we were able to confirm just what Granny always tried to tell us, the problem was in the food. By drastically reducing the amount of processed foods, eating organic produce, eliminating meat and dairy we were able to nurse her back to full health! And as an added benefit, I lost over 70 lbs. that year by sticking to those changes. 

          So, why Sea Moss? Sea Moss is really the only multivitamin your body should need. Low iron was always an issue for me. I remember my parents trying to crush them and hide them in my food as a child. Sea Moss is an easier way to get what you and your children need. Our bodies break down and absorb minerals best from natural foods and this is about as natural as it gets!
